Rightscale is the new name for AWS-Console (a much better name, i must say). It seems to be the easiest way to play around on Amazon’s EC2. I had a server up in minutes, with most of the delays being due to poor wifi. A neat little business model, smoothing out the wrinkles in amazon’s user experience. Kudos to them.

I’m glad you like the new name! We’re also very happy to be getting ridof the old one
As you mention, we’re trying to make it easy to use EC2. But we really hope to provide a lot of value on top of that by providing automation and other tools to make it a lot more efficient to work with EC2.
