Last night at OSBC, Marten Mickos referred to Oracle’s acquisition of Sleepycat, one of the providers of mySQL backends (following their acquisition of InnoDB, another similar provider) with a great quote, which I remember as: … it’s like trying to kill a dolphin by drinking the ocean.
